View Mobile analytics in Pendo.io by Visitor and Account ID
This feature requires iOS and Android SDK 49 and above.
Since Insert's acquisition by Pendo, we've been working on enabling our customers to view their apps' analytics in Pendo.io. The latest release is the first step towards providing a unified solution for analytics & engagement across mobile and web apps.
This first step of analytics in Pendo includes the following:
- For a mobile Page (Screen) - Number of views, unique visitors and average daily time on screen. Top visitors & accounts in this screen.
- For a mobile Feature (Element) - Number of clicks, unique visitors, top visitors & accounts.
- For a specific visitor - the total number of days active in the app, the average daily time on app, the daily/weekly number of events.
- For all visitors - see total engagement metrics over the mobile app (and/or your web app)
More analytics for mobile apps will follow within the next few months.
If you want to view your app's analytics in Pendo, please contact email@example.com for information on this process. In order to enable these analytics you will need to set a visitor ID with the SDK as described in this article.
Analytics will show in Pendo for any screen and element which were tagged in insert.
Tag Elements: A quicker way to tag app elements
Since we enable viewing analytics on all captured screens and tagged elements, it is now recommend to tag all the elements in the app for which you want to collect analytics.
We've added an easy way to tag the elements in a screen: Under the App's Screens tab, select the option 'Tag Elements' on the screen's context menu.
You will see the already tagged elements marked in orange on the screenshot and in the panel on the right. You can rename an existing element via the right panel, or select a new element to tag either on the screenshot or on the right panel. Note that you can tag only clickable elements.
Once you're done, Save the tagged elements. Any mobile device launched with the app from this time will start sending analytics on each of the tagged elements.
