Banner insert for Android & iOS enhancements
The banner insert is now available for Android. In Android, the banner can be placed on the top or bottom of a screen.
In iOS the banner was enhanced to disappear when the user scrolls and reappear once the user stops scrolling.
Roles and Permissions
For companies that wish to enable a separation of duties among users, we now support assigning roles to users. Each role has a specific set of permissions. For example, an author can create and edit inserts but needs the approval of a publisher to publish them in the app.
The following roles are available:
- Admin – can manage users, apps, and inserts
- Publisher – can manage inserts, including publishing, stopping, and deleting inserts
- Author – can create draft inserts, edit them, and send them for approval
Content Page: Expandable Advanced Settings
To make for a simpler customization experience of insert content, the configuration of each text field or image in the insert is now separated into Basic and Advanced settings.
Advanced settings such as text colors, font size, and font type will now be hidden under an expandable Advanced Settings link.
Images in an Insert: Stretch or Center
For images included in the insert (excluding the image background) users can select whether the image should be centered or stretched to the mobile device's screen width.
Specialized Sign-In URL for each Company
Each company signs into its own private domain in the form of <company name>.insert.io. A user arriving at app.insert.io will be asked to enter his company name in order to be redirected to the appropriate private domain.
