The 'Simple Push' insert type allows you to send push notifications to your app users. It is often used to re-engage dormant users, run special promotions, and otherwise drive app users into your app.
To enable push notifications with Insert, you need to add a small amount of code to your app and take configuration steps in the Insert Console. Read this article for more information.
When creating a Simple Push insert, you can test it by clicking on "Push to Device" on the Review page and following the instructions in the browser.
Once published, the push notifications will be sent starting at the scheduled time.
Only devices enabled for push will receive push notifications from Insert. in iOS, users must opt-in to receive push notifications. If they do not opt-in, they will not receive push notifications from Insert.
You can use the push insert dashboard to determine how many of your users received the push notification.
Insert currently supports a one time push notification. Once the push notification is sent, the insert moves to a SENT status and cannot be re-sent.
